Biles, along with her siblings Adria and Ronald Biles were adopted as young children by grandparents of Houston. Simone's fascination with gymnastics started at the age of six, during a trip with her day-care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained with Aimee Borman's coaching from 2011. Biles was awarded a gold medal in the floor and bronze in vault at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010 before breaking into the elite level of competition in 2011. Two years after that Biles had a dominating performance in the sport. Biles's consistent, exuberant personality and the level of effort during her four events- vault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise as well as floor exercise -- made her above the others.
